It’s the first weekend of September, meaning the end of summer blockbusters and the beginning to some quality films with actual plots. I’m just not sure if the new wide release film this weekend, Bangkok Dangerous, is of that much quality. Starring Nicholas Cage (must I say anymore?) he plays an assassin who falls for a woman while working. Eh… I guess this is just the hangover film of the summer.
So here are our predictions for this weekend…
Dan’s Predictions:
1. Bangkok Dangers – $10 m
2. Tropic Thunder – $9 m
3. Babylon AD – $8 m
4. Dark Knight – $7 m
5. The House Bunny – $7 m
Phil’s Predictions:
1. Bangkok Dangerous – $20 m
2. Tropic Thunder – $12 m
3. The Dark Knight – $8 m
4. Babylon A.D. – $8 m
5. The House Bunny – $5 m
My Predictions:
1. Bangkok Dangerous – $15 m
2. Tropic Thunder – $10 m
3. The Dark Knight – $7 m
4. Babylon A.D. – $6 m
5. Traitor – $6 m
Basically, we all think Bangkok Dangerous will be the film to dethrone Tropic Thunder’s 3-week run at the box office. Other than that, it’s quite a slim group of films that are out right now. But for once, all three of our predictions are fairly similar.
Let’s see how our predictions hold up.
